Research & Development
At CASSA we believe that research and development is a fundamental principle in fostering outstanding teachers and schools of the highest standard. Research is a key means by which we can analyse which approaches are most effective and their implications for future teaching and learning practice.
We have recently undertaken research on “Closing the Gap” with the National College for Teaching and Leadership. This is part of a national research project on how to raise attainment among students who have historically not performed according to their potential.
The CASSA research and development group promotes a collaborative approach towards research. The alliance works alongside CamSTAR (Cambridge School Teachers and Research) who works in partnership with schools developing research projects which are then shared through meetings and conferences.
