Morley Memorial Primary School

Morley Memorial Primary School is a two-form entry school, with over 400 children on roll, situated near the centre of Cambridge, to the south of the River Cam. The school is named after Samuel Morley, who was a benefactor of the Homerton Training College, and was founded at the end of the 19th Century as a practice school for the college. The school maintains very strong links with Homerton College and the Faculty of Education.

At Morley, our vision is to make learning irresistible to all our pupils. We see our core purpose as encouraging all children to be independent, resilient and highly motivated learners. Creativity is highly valued and we constantly strive to ensure that we provide an exciting and challenging curriculum. Drama is regularly used to provide engaging learning opportunities for the children.

The values of respect, creativity, inclusiveness, learning, community and building positive relationships are at the heart of all that we do here at Morley.
Whilst children come from a range of different backgrounds, and there are up to 30 different home languages spoken, a real strength of the school is children’s respect for, and appreciation of, each other.
